The role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager (f/m/d) who is excited to join us in building the first global supplier search. As a tech-driven company, we are looking for support to grow the business commercially and be at the forefront of digital transformation in the procurement space together with our customers.

Your responsibilities
- Organize, prepare and hold pitches on industry and startup conferences/ events
- Visit customers, in-person meetings, customer workshop preparation and agenda setting
- Upper funnel management e.g. manage new inbound interest & hold product demos
- Understand customer requirements in complex enterprise sales environments and build long-term relationships
- Build-up of sales collateral (sales decks, documentation)
- Understand product needs from clients, translate them into product features & communicate with product team
- Analytical topics such as customer segmentation and identification of use cases for segments
- Market research of companies that are a potential fit to our use cases
- Support & initiate marketing activities, such as communication in professional networks and targeted PR (e.g. appearances in industry-leading magazines)
- Sales ops activities such as CRM ownership & improvement, tracking and analytics of customer data
Your experience
- 2-3 years of work experience in start-up environment or similar (consulting/ finance)
- Proven track record of successful customer communication
- Affinity for tech and data science topics
- Native-level German and excellent English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Optional: Experience in B2B startup in procurement and/ or supply chain management
